How to Use the Beading Pattern Paper Generator

This tool creates beading pattern grids: a sheet with rounded rectangular cells sized to match your bead dimensions. Choose from 15/0, 11/0, 10/0, or 8/0 Miyuki Delica presets, or set custom bead width and height in mm or inch. Cell scale can be 100% (actual size) up to 500% for easier viewing when planning designs (default 200%). Select brick stitch (horizontal offset), peyote (vertical offset), or loom (square grid). Row numbers run 1, 2, 3… from bottom to top along the left; for brick and loom you can also show the same numbers on the right. Optional column markers label every 10th column when enabled. Export as PDF, PNG, or SVG. All processing runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about the Beading Pattern Paper Generator

What are Miyuki Delica beads?

Delica beads are cylinder-shaped glass beads with precise, uniform dimensions. They are popular for brick stitch, peyote, and loom work. The 11/0 size (1.6 × 1.3 mm) is the most commonly used.

What is the difference between brick stitch and peyote?

**Brick stitch** uses horizontal offset: each row is shifted by half a bead width, like bricks in a wall. **Peyote** uses vertical offset: each column is shifted by half a bead height. **Loom** uses a square grid with no offset—beads align in straight rows and columns. Brick and peyote create a staggered grid; loom creates a regular grid.

Why do numbers start at the bottom right?

This is the industry standard for beading patterns. You typically start working from the bottom right corner, so row 1 is at the bottom and column 1 is on the right.

Is the beading pattern paper tool free?

Yes. The Brick Stitch / Beading Pattern Paper Generator is free to use. Create and download as many sheets as you need, in PDF, PNG, or SVG, with no registration.

What file formats can I download?

You can download in **PDF** (best for printing), **PNG** (raster image, 300 DPI), and **SVG** (vector, editable).
