How to Use the Knitting Graph Paper Generator
This tool creates knitting chart grids: a sheet with rectangular cells sized to match your yarn gauge. Choose from Sport, DK, Worsted, or Bulky presets, or set custom stitch dimensions in mm/inch. Select flat or circular knitting — row numbering adapts automatically. Stitch numbers run 40, 30, 20, 10, 1 (knitter starts bottom right). Row numbers show 1, 2, 3… on alternating sides (flat) or all on the right (circular). Export as PDF, PNG, or SVG. All processing runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
How to Design Your Knitting Grid
- Unit System: Preset (yarn gauge) or custom mm/inch for stitch dimensions.

- Knitting Type: Flat (back & forth) or Circular (in the round) — affects row numbering placement.
- Paper: Select A3, A4, Letter, A5, or Legal; portrait or landscape.

- Grid Config: Toggle stitch numbers and row numbers; set highlight line interval (5, 10, 15, or 20).
- Line Styles: Set grid line and highlight line weights and colors.
- Background: Choose from preset colors.
- Export: Download as PDF, PNG, or SVG.
