1. Introduction
Welcome to PrintableGrid.com ("Service", "we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website.
PrintableGrid is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience on our platform. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Service.

2. Information We Collect
Google Analytics (only if you allow it)
If you allow analytics in the consent message for your region, we load Google Analytics. Google may then collect:
- Browser and device information
- Pages viewed and approximate time on page
- Referral source (how you reached the site)
- Approximate location (typically country or city level)
This uses Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*, _gid) only after you allow analytics. Until you allow them — or if you refuse them — Consent Mode keeps analytics_storage denied. Ad personalization is separate (see AdSense below). View Cookie Policy.
First-Party Tool Usage Stats
When you open a generator or export a file, the browser sends an anonymous event to our servers: tool id, action (view or export), optional export format (PDF, PNG, or SVG), and a timestamp. We do not attach an IP address, cookie, or user id to these events. This count does not require cookie consent.
Information You Voluntarily Provide
When you use our contact form, we collect:
- Name and email address (to respond to you)
- Subject and message content
The form does not accept file attachments. We send the message through our email provider (Resend). We may use your IP address in memory for a short window to limit spam (a few requests per 15 minutes). That IP is not stored with analytics events.
Generator Settings on Your Device
Grid settings (spacing, colors, paper size, and similar controls) are saved in your browser’s localStorage under the tool’s id. They are not uploaded to our servers and are not cookies.
What We Do NOT Collect
For transparency about our data minimization approach:
- We do NOT require user accounts or registration
- We do NOT require payment details to use the generators
- We do NOT operate our own cross-site tracking pixels (no Facebook, X, or TikTok pixels)
- We do NOT sell your personal information for money, and we do NOT sell generator settings as a product
- We do NOT store generator settings on our servers
If you allow analytics or ads, Google Analytics and Google AdSense may process data under Google's policies. That is not a tracker we run ourselves, but it is not “no third-party measurement.”
3. How We Use Your Information
First-Party Usage Counts
Anonymous view and export counts tell us which generators people use and which file formats they download. We use this to decide what to improve. Events cannot identify you.
Google Analytics (if you allow it)
If you allow analytics, we use Google Analytics to understand pages, devices, and traffic sources so we can find bugs and improve the site. If you refuse analytics, we do not enable Google Analytics cookies.
Google AdSense
We show Google AdSense ads on some pages. Outside the EEA, personalized ads are the default until you opt out with Reject, footer Do Not Sell or Share, or Global Privacy Control. Opting out does not remove ads; Google may serve non-personalized ads. Analytics cookies still need Accept. If Google's consent message is shown, that message controls advertising cookies.
Responding to Contact Requests
When you contact us via our form, we use your email and message to respond. We do not add you to marketing lists.
Spam and Abuse Prevention
The contact form uses a CSRF token cookie, in-memory IP rate limits, and automated spam checks so the inbox is not flooded. These controls are not used to build advertising profiles.
Legal Compliance & Obligations
We may use information when required by law, court orders, or legal process.
4. How We Protect Your Data
PrintableGrid takes data security seriously. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information:
HTTPS Encryption
All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using SSL/TLS protocols.
Secure Infrastructure
The site runs on Google Cloud (Cloud Run) with Firebase used for anonymous usage counts.
Limited Access
Only authorized personnel can access user-provided contact messages, and only when necessary to reply.
No Payment Data Storage
We do not collect or store credit card or payment processor details for using the generators.
Note: While we implement strong security measures, no internet transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
5. Third-Party Services & Integrations
Google Analytics
If you allow analytics, Google Analytics may set cookies and process usage data as described in Google's policies. We use Google Consent Mode v2: all four signals start as denied. Analytics stay denied until you Accept. Outside TCF, ad storage and personalization are then granted unless you opt out. We do not treat a browser “Do Not Track” signal as an automatic opt-out. We honor Global Privacy Control when the browser sets navigator.globalPrivacyControl (ads opt-out only).

Hosting (Google Cloud)
The website is hosted on Google Cloud. The platform may keep standard request logs (for example IP address, user agent, and URL) for operations and security, for as long as the hosting provider retains them. We do not use those logs to identify you in our own analytics product.
Firebase / Firestore
Anonymous tool view and export events are stored in Google Firestore (tool id, action, optional format, timestamp).
Email Delivery (Resend)
Contact-form messages are delivered by Resend to our inbox so we can reply.
Static Assets
Images, styles, and scripts are served from our own host (and Next.js image optimization). We do not set a separate CDN analytics cookie.
Google AdSense
We serve Google AdSense ads on some pages. Outside the EEA, personalized ads are on unless you opt out; opting out does not unmount ads. Google may then serve non-personalized ads. If Google's consent message is shown, that message controls advertising cookies. We publish an ads.txt line naming Google as the seller. We do not use Facebook Pixel, X/Twitter tracking, or TikTok pixels. We do not label AdSense inventory as child-directed.

Data Sharing: PrintableGrid does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information for money. Using Google Analytics after you allow it, or AdSense (including personalized ads outside TCF until you opt out), means Google processes some data as an independent service — that is not a sale by us for cash, but it can be advertising-related processing.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data:
Right to Access
You have the right to request what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of that data. For most visitors that is limited to a contact-form message if you sent one.
Right to Rectification
You can request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal information we have about you.
Right to Deletion
You can request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal obligations. Anonymous usage counts cannot be tied back to you.
Right to Restrict Processing
You can limit how we use your data while you dispute its accuracy or investigate a concern.
Right to Data Portability
You can request your personal data in a structured, commonly used format that you can transfer to another service.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us via our contact form with your request and relevant details.
8. GDPR & CCPA Compliance
GDPR (European Users)
We collect little personal data. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, Google's consent message (IAB Transparency and Consent Framework) is the choice for Analytics and AdSense cookies — we do not show a second banner at the same time. First-party tool counts are anonymous aggregates. You can refuse optional cookies in that message and still use every generator. We do not send marketing emails.
CCPA / CPRA (California Users)
California residents can ask what personal information we collect and request deletion via the contact form. We do not sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws treat advertising use as “sharing.” If you are in a supported US state, opt out with footer Do Not Sell or Share (Google decides whether that law applies from your location). You can also Reject on our banner, use Global Privacy Control, the consent message for your region, or Google Ads Settings. Click the same footer control again to allow sale or sharing for ads. Accept on the cookie banner does not undo that opt-out.
International Data Transfers
Hosting, analytics, ads, and email delivery may process data in the United States (Google Cloud, Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Firebase, Resend). Those providers apply their own safeguards.
9. Children's Privacy
PrintableGrid is not directed to children under 13 years of age. The generators — including handwriting and classroom-style paper — are tools for educators, parents, and adult learners. This is not a children’s app, and we do not label AdSense as child-directed.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.
Parents who believe their child has provided information to PrintableGrid should contact us immediately via our contact form.
For children between 13-18 (depending on jurisdiction), the same privacy protections apply.
10. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy:
Contact Form Data
We keep a message long enough to reply and close the request. We then delete it within a reasonable time unless you ask us to keep it or the law requires us to retain it.
Google Analytics Data
If you allowed analytics, Google retains Analytics data according to the property's retention setting in Google Analytics (not a separate schedule we control on this site).
First-Party Usage Stats
Anonymous tool view/export events and aggregates stay in Firestore for product metrics. They are not tied to a person.
Hosting Logs
Google Cloud may retain request logs for operations and security for the period the platform configures.
Cookies and Local Storage
Listed in the Cookie Policy. cookie_consent lasts 1 year. __csrf_token lasts 24 hours. Tool settings stay in localStorage until you clear site data.
11. Updates to This Policy
PrintableGrid may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We will show material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date on this page.
We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the Service after an update means you can see the new terms on this page.
